Cameras dead, but, ......I picked up a 45* miter fixture today and for the life of me I cannot remember what this type is called. Its the type that has guide posts for a back saw (like a miter box) set at 45* to a set of clamps that form a 90* angle at the blades center. This one is unmarked so I'm kind of in the dark.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Bit at a loss without pictures, all that comes to mind is miter box, jack miter and compound miter box.

That's a nice one. It looks like the backsaw fits into guides similar to those on the Millers-Falls Langdon Acme miter box, in my limited experience the finest of the miter boxes - is that right?

Miter vice!!!! Thanks Bill! For the life of me I could not come up with that name. I knew I had seen one on the net once before but the name was totally escaping me. So far I haven't found a maker name on it yet, just a couple of pat dates. With a little luck, I can find out more about it.
