I had some fun putting a walnut handle on a Crown Gent's saw. I used 1/2' saw screw sets from Mike Wenzloff.

I used Ray Gardiner's handle as a model:

Great idea, I have one of the these but really dislike the straight handle.

It is a great idea, just not mine. Several others have done the same.

I bought the Crown Gent's Saw when it got a top rating (Fine Woodworking review?) and was only $20. It was fine, but I also do not like the straight handle.

I wanted to make a dovetail saw but was not ready to tackle the cost and skills of the metal work. Then I remembered that this idea had been posted before and gave it a try.

Very Nice,
I've thought of doing that several times...

Nice, I did the same with my Crown saw, but the handle I made is not as good.

Nice job, I was thinking about doing the same thing to a couple of gent saws I have. I just don't care for the straight handle.

My hand is too big(fat) for that small of a handle.:p
