Holy Cow! Of all the odd things to form a collection of, anvils has to be "it". Nothing quite like having a collection of objects that you can't move across the room, much less pick up and admire!

The master blacksmith in Williamsburg collects anvils. I haven't been to see them.

For years, I have been using a short section of rail discarded when some track was replaced. Last weekend at the yard sales, there was a small piece of track that someone had finished with some flat steps and looks fairly nice that was going for the asking price of $5. I offered $3 and took it home.

I would like to have an anvil. I currently use a short section of rail. My boss has an anvil in the shop so I don't really need to buy one. I agree that if I was going to collect something it would be stuff I don't need a forklift to move.
