Saturday afternoon I was doing some outdoor work at my mother's house. She and some friends went to an auction about an hour away. She came home and gave me a nice looking wood plane. The knife said Gage on it so I googled it and found a picture of what this plane looks like and the google page calls this a #4, on the back of the plane is a #2 so I am not totally sure. The plane is in awesome condition! But the tote has been replaced at some point in its long history with a very nice replacement! This to me doesn't decrease the value to me as I have no problem putting these finely built antiques to good use! I sharpened the knife and adjusted everything and this plane is a real keeper! I will post pics if I can get them to load!
