HF 2 pieces bottom turned outside and inside then flat glued in plane . out side completed,, hole opened and inside hollowed. WOP, 5 1/2" diameter. Trying to improve shape and finale over prior work. C184116184117184118omments welcome.

Looks pretty good,like the shape of the form and the top sets very nicely,the finale is something that takes awhile keep working on it and you'll get it thinner with every one.Keep up the nice work.

Nice curves with a smooth finish. Like the wood combo too! Each one will get better and easier!

The vessel form looks good. Since the lid is attached to the finial; you needed some strength in the finial to allow its use as a knob. My suggestion would be to put the lid into a recess and blend its shape into the vessel form on a future HF. This one is a keeper as is.

Really like the wood combination - works well! I agree with Dennis - an area to experiment with would be the fit and curve of the lid. Have fun with it!

Allan, the wood combo is great! I did some small tool handles for another creeker using mahogany and curly maple, finished with BLO and shellac. Very warm and appealing.

You have received some good suggestions on the lid/finial - practice, practice, practice!
