Here are a few pics of what I've been up to the last 2 weeks. the first ones are of a built in that I modified. It was originally just a plain old book case that the client wanted to "dress up". An aditional 6" was added to the lower front portion. There are 3 sliding doors built to look like 6 individual doors. Stained to match and built out of poplar. The door panels are solid poplar resawn and bookmatched.

And After.

Dan's Corner Entertainment Center

Next is one of my students pieces we recently built in classes. It is a nice Corner Entertainment center constructed of solid Red Oak featuring Olive Ash Burl Veneered Door Panels. It has two shelves that pull out to house his DVD's. He should be proud of this one.

Here is a much neede new shop cabinet. Constructed of Cherry veneered MDF with Butternut face frame and Rails and stiles. It is about 36" Tall and 72" wide.

And last a nice new Mallet that I needed. I picked up a nice blank of Bloodwood at my local Rockler in a huge crate of imports. Paid a whole $7 for the blank. The head is 3" in diameter. Nice and heavy. Lumber Hauler in the background.

Yes, you HAVE been busy, Steve!! I'd like to know more about your new shop cabinet...what will you be storing in it and are there any special accomodations for anything?

Jim,
There is nothing special going into the cabinet, just finishing supplies and glues. Just some shelves. I'll try to take some inside shots.

Steve,

Gosh.... I wish I could do all that in just 13 days  You have been a busy fella for sure.

I like the shop cabinet. Can't ever have enough storage.

Nice job, and nice lumber hauler. I have been thinking bout buying a 98 discovery, but I have been hearing that they can be very problematic. How is yours? Peter

Hi Steve,

That is very nice work. Do you offer classes or do you teach in a school?
