I just bought three 2 oz. bottles of ca glue for 6.95 each. Thin, medium, and thick. How do you store ca glue. I have heard some keep it in the freezer. I would hate for that much glue to go bad.

The article in Woodturning Design says to store unopened bottles in the refrigerator, but not in the freezer. Once opened, they should be stored in a cool dry place. The author says he stores his opened bottles in a sealed jar with a dessicant.
It is an excellent article, by the way.

Not to be a dissenter here, but I have a pint bottle of thick that is about 9 months old and has been stored, since it was opened, in my shop, standing up WITHOUT a cap. This last part is important.

After some misfires with replaced caps, nails, pins, and other things, leaving it open has worked best. One other thing..............and do this carefully. After using it hold it upright and SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY squeeze the bottle; then quickly release it. This sucks any residue back into the bottle and keeps the tip clear.

A PINT OF CA GLUE? What was that? Like 100 bucks. I just paid 7 for two ounces.

When I remove the cap from a 2 oz bottle, I throw it away. It keeps fine standing open.

I go in witho some other guys and buy CA from E-Z Bond. The prices are 2 -3 dollars for 2 oz. Larger sizes are cheaper. I keep all of mine, opened and unopened, in the beer cooler, and it lasts quite well. They also sell replacement tips very cheap. I do use the lids.

Minimum order is something north of $100 or so. They have thick, med., thin, and rubberized, which I really like for gluing leather on to my "F" style clamps. I have never seen this any other place.
