You could keep checking back or.....you could call the customer service number and tell them that you saw it for $199 and that you would like that price. I've had to call two or three diferent times sometimes to finally get someone to give me the lower price.

PLUS, there's still all the extra goodies. :D

How did you call?!!!
I called the 800 number on that page (the PC 7518 page) but I notice that it is now gone.
You can try customer service at 800-201-7575 and tell them that the price was 199 earlier in the day and if they would honor it.

I would, but it will attach it to my Amazon ID. It's very easy though. From the Amazon homepage, look at the bottom right side of page for the help center. Click and it will take you to the page you need. Now select "contact us by email". It will start up an email with your info.

I did get the adjustment to $199. He told me there was a $50 rebate which was better than the $25 offer and I couldn't have both. So I'm at $149 after rebate. I think I'll be happy with that. I paid about double that for my model 895 just last month.

I called Amazon Customer Sevice and they were very couteous and thay did give me the $199.99 deal. The person I talked with this time spoke english. I called earlier and the person could not speak very good english therefore I did not get anywhere. One might have to call several times to get to thr right person.

It seems to be a lot like a bait-and-switch technique. They lower the price really low for just long enough to really get the word out in places like this. By the time most people make it to the site, they have raised the price somewhat, but still keep it a good deal. I'd imagine that quite a few people looking for the low price still bought it at $249. Of course, I only complain when I don't make it in time.:rolleyes:

You are probably right, but I have been looking at the 7518 and 7539 for $350-$400 lately. At $149 for a 7518, I'm not feeling too "gypped" today.

It is frustrating, but I don't really see anything here that qualifies as illegal. If you want to hang out on Amazon all day, every day, you can save some money. If you want to go to town and walk around brick and mortar stores every day you could also find some in store specials. If Amazon sent out emails and then raised the price ten minutes later we would have something illegal.
