Today puts all days in perspective. A friend, colleague, and a wonderful family man was out walking his dog this morning and was hit by a car. His wife says that he has severe head trauma...and my not live though the night.

Prayers are accepted.

Ditto what Dennis said. Prayers coming from this house. And being the dog person I am, I have to ask if the dog was also hurt or not. Jim.

Very sorry to hear of your friend - prayers sent.

This serves to remind each of us that we should tell our families and friends of our love for them each day - we never know when it is our time.

Calm down and stop shouting. He wonders about praying for the BOTH of them! Some people would like to see nothing but the CAR hurt, as it can be rebuilt, replaced.

May your friend and his dog come out just fine and not remember the accident!

Jim,
Even though we are also dog lovers...as my friend is...I don't know if the dog was hurt.

I am so sorry to hear the bad news- I hope that he makes a positive turn around - head injuries are tough, My best Friend died back in June 2005, accidentally, he was trimming tree branches on his neighbors front lawn- to be a good Samaritan, either he had a stroke or the ladder slipped ,but he fell on the concrete sidewalk and never came back- it was extremely horrible news to hear, I was there when they pulled the plug on him - I was devastated ~ what a bummer:( My prayers go out to him.

My prayers with your friend that he may wake up sound and healthy and find his dog the same way. His recovery time would be slower otherwise.

I have to echo Sandra's sentiments. Asking how his dog is doing...might very well be his first words.

My friend will be taken off life support tomorrow unless there is a miricle overnight. His wife and four young children agree that is what he would have wanted. One of the nicest men I have ever known....
