Angus, I'm so disappointed. I opened it up with excitement thinking you had just built your 30th boat. I was well prepapared to be impressed!:D

Well the ShopBot is on the way I may have to give it a whirl. What I need here on the Creek is a nice Dory style boat to build any ideas????

Wooden Boat Magazine has two "Swampscott" dories that I've always liked. Here is the smaller of the two.

There's another that's around 18' that's called the John Dory.

Angus,

I suggest you contact Bill Young on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Bill started out making small boats when he got his first ShopBot and I would bet he would be willing to share his drawings, possibly some ShopBot files that would get you on your way.

Here's an article that has a good description of the different dory types and available plans. I haven't read Gardner's book, but all praise it as a good source for plans.

My favorites have always been the gunning dory and the swampscott
