  1. Part blessing and part curse

    As of today I am retired, not by design the doctor laid some permanent restrictions on me that made it impossible to perform my job. Since there were no other positions available, I had no choice. Since my 'retirement' check is soo small I will have to try to find something that fits with my restrictions that will provide my income. Life goes on.

  2. Computer desk for my wife

    This is one I've started and can't seem to find the time to finish.

    Building the desk with an oak faced plywood top and solid for the rest. Very simple, when/if I find the time.

  3. Doll house for my daughter

    This one should be simple. However after doing a little research I've discovered doll house people are freaks!!!

    Not that being a freak is a bad thing but their are so many options and stuff you can buy that's its a little confusing. Also I just want something my daughter can play with. Most projects, accessories, etc are for "collectors".

  4. Project list

    I'm going to keep a running list of all the projects on my to do list and the current status.

    I currently work about 45 to 50 hours a week, have to children (ages 3 and 7) and occasionally have a social life so I don't imagine this blog will get updated often.

  5. Roubo-Holtzapffel-English Workbench

    I think these blogs will be a great way to show your projects and tutorials. So here's the one I started today.

    I'm building a new workbench. The base and top will be modeled after Chris Schwarz's Roubo, but it will be 10' long. It's going to have a twin-screw vise ala Holtzapffel. And a wagon vise ala English.

    This first entry will be about rouging milling one of the legs. I'm designing for a 32" tall bench. So each leg will have 2 pieces that are 30x5x1-1/4 ...
