Signature name plate

There is a GGMG member, Kirk Lamont, who posted some pictures of a pretty flame box elder on this forum about a month ago. I was intrigued by the signature name plate on the bottom. It looks like it was made separately and then affixed. I have been signing my pieces with a sharpie but I like the looks of a more professional name plate.

I sent a PM to Kirk asking him where he gets the name plates but either I messed up, it got lost in the ozone or he hasn't read it yet. So, I thought that I would throw this out to all GGMG members - - I'm wondering where people get their name plates (assuming that they are using them)? Ideally, I would love to be able to get metallic nameplates (like brass or anodized aluminum with a silk screen image or similar). Any ideas GGMG members?

Brice, glad you posted. I hadn't looked closely enough at the pic to see the signature plate. Very nice. Hopefully Captain Kirk will jump in. Just from the photo, it looks to me like a wooden insert that was custom-etched with a laser.

Not meaning to change the subject, but just a note to David........did not see you at the Virginia Symposium this last weekend. Did you attend?

Roger, unfortunately no. We ended up having to change plans at the last minute. I've heard it was a great event!

Bump. I'm hoping that Captain Kirk Lamont will see my post and tell us where he gets his metal signature plates made. Or if there are other members who can respond, that would be appreciated.

Brice, I notice that our new member, Stevie Walker, has a custom brand for his bowl/vessel bottoms. Maybe he'll jump in and tell us about it.
