Vince the tech support guy I dealt with was a huge help. Turns out the black box that holds the power on/off switch and other switch can be opened by remove two small screws. They are accessed from the back and allow access to the electrical connections. The repair was actually simple and straightforward. I never noticed the small holes that allow access to the screws. All done. Now I am waiting for my 220 line in my new shop.
Tom, thanks for reposting. Was there an unpluggable connector on the circuit board or did you need to do a splice. Good luck on your G0766 - - it is a good machine.
There were two crimped on wire nuts. I used some just like them to connect the new display. It actually was an EZ fix. If ever some one needs to replace theirs, and gets overwhelmed or stuck call me and I could walk ya thru it. Yes it is a great machine. I don't have the long hair warning sticker on mine now😳 Just a black faceplate and a digital readout. I like the look
