Well dont be shy, I'm not I brought one the one those who refer to it as a Cheap Chinese Laser,
I love mine, still runing strong Brought it into the contry myself,

Why ? people ask why a Chinese Laser Why not I have four kids, but I have worked with Lasers and designed new laser parts to repair Laser machines manily 4000 watt lasers, so I knew if something went wrong I could fix it, this is the second machine I have set up, I set one up for a buddy of mine in the NC area as well, but these machines are not as bad as what people think,

    Let me know your thoughts

    Dean,

I don't think that categorizing machines based on the country they are made is reasonable. Case in point there are American made laser engravers that are very poor quality based on hardware and sometimes software issues.

I just purchased an APLazer SN4024 laser engraver and I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces to see what it will do.

I purchased a Rabbit RL-120-1290 in Sept, 2010 and it has performed flawlessly if I don't get too carried away with the "horsepower".

I am close to talking myself into buying a Rabbit laser.I have a Epilog mini 18 35watt and a Full Spectrum 40 watt but really am looking at a much bigger table size.Just need to convince myself I cant live without it.I havent heard any real bad talk on the Rabbits and there seem to be quite a few out there so they must be ok.I havent had any problems with my 40 watt chinese full spectrum once I got it aligned which wasent hard just took some time to get it right. The main thing was replacing the small rubber orings on alignment screws they put on with small springs made all the difference. If anyone has any good or bad info on the rabbits please let me know.
    Thanks

Well I've just made the jump from rotary engraving to a laser, so the idea of dropping twice the money only to find out that I didn't care for laser engraving made it an easy choose to buy a Chinese made lasers sold through an American agent and support. I bought a Morn 80watt with a 36"x24" bed and I am absolutely amazed at the potential. Maybe it's because I'm new to this or have never had a American made machine but I'm very impressed. I've been learning more and more every day about lasers and trying it out, I've ruined some material but I've also made some very impressive acrylic items and enjoying the hell out of it. Who knows, I might be putting a Roland EGX 400 on EBay!
