Started this group because we in the SouthEast are not represented by any OTHER groups on SMC!

There have been a couple of bulk shared purchases in the main forums (the latest for phenolic sheets out of Atlanta), and I'm sure that there are other opportunities for discounted purchases when buying in bulk together... so post your ideas and offers!

I'm located in Valdosta (South Georgia), and here because my wife is an Air Force Officer stationed at Moody Air Force Base locally. I have the world's best job, where I go to work for six-weeks overseas, then I'm OFF for six-weeks. That allows me the opportunity to spend a lot of time learning more, and pursuing my WW hobby at home for long periods. I'm still a rank novice, but I'm sure that with the help I find on SMC and elsewhere, my skills will constantly improve.

If you find Vidalia, GA on a map, I'm just W of there, about half way between Macon and Savannah.

    Carrollton, GA checking in!
I am close to the Alabama border. Do a bit of 'hobby type' woodworking, a mix of flatwork and turnings. However, since I got my mini lathe late October, I have been consumed by it! Fun to learn new skills and be able to utilize parts of Mother Natures creation in ways you can very rarely do appropriately in a flat version.

Checking in from Savannah. Hey Craig, I know where you are . . . I'm originally from Baxley. Growing up we went to Vidalia to go to the city.

I don't do any real woodworking but do have a laser engraver/cutter and a large bed CNC so let me know if you need either one. I also have a bunch of veneer on hand. If you are headed to Savannah drop me a line. I hate to talk shop, but I do love to talk . . .
