Stylistic indeed! The curvature of the handle is very pleasing to the eye. Terry, when you have a chance, I'd be interested in how you achieved it. Off-center turning? Or maybe a 3" drum on an oscillating spindle sander! David
Thanks guys, sorry so late getting back, but I have been covered up lately making some wedding gifts. will try to post them soon. David, you are correct with off center turning for the handle. I started with a 3 x 3 x 7 blank, then turn the ball and the start of the handle leaving about 1 inch of square stock on both ends so I could re position for the off center. After the handle was to my satisfaction, I scooped out a jamb chuck to turn out the scoop bowl. Sounded like a plane with that handle swinging around. It was my first off center and first one piece scoop.
