Thanks for taking time to post a couple of pics Mark.........glad to have you aboard!
Thanks, Roger. Glad to be on board. I hope after receiving my G0766, I will be able to finish a few of lingering pieces of now spalted ambrosia maple from last year's class at JC Campbell Folk School. I do hope the early issues with new lathes get resolved before I receive mine. But I can live with it as it is designed now, as I don't own anything in the way of tool rests, and only have a Nova G3 chuck. If anyone has a Titan II used for sale, let me know. Bartering for hand engraving work is really preferred. Check out my website at MGDESIGNS1.com
I finally got the beast setup. Friday night I muscled the legs under the bed, and bolted them on, then up righted the assembly. Saturday a friend came over and we lifted the power plant onto the ways, and I turned it on for the first time. WOW, am I ever impressed, smooth as silk, and quiet. All the way up to 3450 rpms, and nice. The power switch is going to take some time to get used to. I like the PM3520 switching better at the is point, but I am sure I will get used to the Grizzly switch method.
Welcome Mark and yes the 0766 is a great lathe. Red
