Have any of y'all seen or used a bed extension , that is available for the Laquna 18-36 https://bislagunatools.com/alarevo18...extension.html I attempted to add a pic we'll see Looks like it would bolt rite on, but that's a guess. I may want to make a bowl larger than 22" someday Tom Alabama
Tom, would this bolt on to the standard Grizzly lathe (0766? 0800?) or would it need to be modified?
It would probably take buying one and seeing. That or getting either the original drawing or several careful measurements. I have my personal doubt.
I recently did a project for a co-worker - 5' long bed posts of constructed oak. He made a bed extension to fit my G0766 out of Advantech and oak giving me up to 6' long between centers. It seems to work pretty well. Pictures to be posted above.
Mark, do you have the dimensions for that?
I may have them at home. I'll try to check and see if I can post them later.
I looked through my papers and the hand sketch I did is gone. My friend had it to make the extension. I'll sketch up something like it soon, al the rest was . Only 3 metric bolts hold it up against the cast iron leg. The top rails are oak, all the rest is Advantech (2 layers at front and single layer on sides. One cross rib to keep sides parallel. I believe the whole extension is 28" long, giving me almost 6' capacity.
