I am having them send a new one to me under warranty, as well as new bearings. My threads are the correct size, but on the nose of the spindle the front thread is pretty thin and on the back the last two are thin enough that I wonder about the long term integrity of them over time with use.
Just wanted to let the 0766 owners know that if you have a problem, it might be advisable to speak with tech support and get the new one. The original on mine works fine, and are the right size in diameter, but has 3 of the individual threads that are too thin in my estimation, and long term integrity is what I am thinking about.....better to address it while still under the warranty period. Oh yeah, tech can send you a .pdf file on how to change out spindle and bearings......just ask them to email it to you.

Had to break up the post because of the 1000 character limit!

    Roger,

Did you get the .pdf? If so, does it address the spacer? The last time my machine was apart tech support was 100% absolutely sure that it didn't belong in the machine so it ain't in mine at the moment. The jam nut is so soft I think I'll order a new nut and retainer too. I'll call them tomorrow and put together an order, assuming I can look at parts on the net or in the manual. Supposed to have some weather moving in and my satellite system doesn't work well when it rains heavily.

Yes, I got the .pdf, and it does address the spacer and has numerous pics of the process.
