    Chisels

    Thread Starter: Michael Pyron

yep, mighty useful tools. I'm at a point in my life where I feel the need to upgrade from the Buck Brother's chisels I've been getting from Home Depot... the issue I see, is that quality chisels have wooden handles, and I use a 12 oz. hammer. I know my hammer VERY well, and since I'm an in...

Another jointing thread, wood that is not dimensioned

    Thread Starter: Mike Holbrook

I have been working 24, 26" boards for panel glue ups. The work has been going slower than I had hoped. I finally discovered that none of the 4/4 stock I am using is reliably square\flat on any of it's surfaces. Once I am done I will have a better idea about how to prepare wood for glue ups. The...

    Free SawStop Brake

    Thread Starter: Mike Henderson

I was cutting a small piece of wood and before I knew it the blade was below the table and I had a small cut on my thumb. Don't even know exactly how everything happened. While the piece was small, I'd made the same cut many times before. Anyway, just a nick, bit of blood and a ruined...

    Thread Starter: Wade Lippman

I posted this same question 5 months ago, but will be buying a new car next week and still can't make my mind up. I am getting a Mazda CX3; I chose that because I really need the blind spot monitoring. I don't need collision avoidance or lane departure warning, but since I will be driving this...

    Sharp chisels!

    Thread Starter: Jeff Bartley

Sharp chisels yes! But not at the end, on the sides. I'm just wondering how many here have been cut up by the edges of their chisels? And does anyone purposely dull the side edges to prevent this? Jeff (with a slice on his index finger!)

    Busy day today

And now time for a few "Cold ones" First off, The Boss wanted a blind on the backdoor repaired with a new one.....New one needed those clips down at the bottom, to keep it from flopping around, used self-drilling drywall screws into the steel skin of the door...and had the driver tip drill into...

    My first live edge bowl.

Thanks everyone. This is big leaf maple burl. Looking at the pictures i agree that the transition is abrupt. I believe i got in a bit of a hurry to finish.

    Cambered blade in Veritas BUS

Mike, perhaps what is needed is to understand exactly how much camber you put into your BUS blade. Can you provide the measurements you used. Then

Bad Oneway Wolverine Sharpening Essentials 6 Piece Set

I finally got the replacement arm. It took it a month to get to me, but that was due to the distance and Customs, here in Peru where it sat for 2 weeks.
