    Why Not Convert to Metric?

    Thread Starter: Rich Riddle

I have a Hammer slider with a metric system installed on the fence. It's actually a much easier way to cut things and even build. Why haven't we simply adopted the metric system in the USA? It would prove much easier to figure fractions for those folks who are fraction challenged.

    New Lee Valley Mortise Chisels

    Thread Starter: Sean Nagle

I've been wanting to purchase some proper mortise chisels for some time. The Ray Iles mortise chisels were always at the top of my list. I also considered the Lie-Nielsen mortise chisels, but I'm not a big fan of the socket handles. I have a full set of their bench chisels and the handles are...

    Thread Starter: Patrick Cox

2nd Build (first) - CNC Router

    Thread Starter: David Falkner

Building my 2nd CNC first, I hope. I have been researching for over a year, read a thousand threads and articles, and am hopefully building my 'second machine' for my first. There is still a ton to learn and that process will probably never stop. Of this I am certain, I will be in new territory...

    Vintage miter boxes

    Thread Starter: Mike Holbrook

It seems to me that this topic deserves more "air time". Maybe it is just me but I find tons of info. on making sawing jigs for a bench or making sawbenches but very little discussion of miter boxes. Admittedly I am coming from more of a construction orientation, where one lives and dies by the...

    New Lee Valley Mortise Chisels

    Glue for Cocobolo

I personally use epoxy only because epoxy will adhere to itself. Yellow glue will not. ( not very well, anyway.)
