yep, mighty useful tools. I'm at a point in my life where I feel the need to upgrade from the Buck Brother's chisels I've been getting from Home Depot... the issue I see, is that quality chisels have wooden handles, and I use a 12 oz. hammer. I know my hammer VERY well, and since I'm an in...

And now time for a few "Cold ones" First off, The Boss wanted a blind on the backdoor repaired with a new one.....New one needed those clips down at the bottom, to keep it from flopping around, used self-drilling drywall screws into the steel skin of the door...and had the driver tip drill into...

    Free SawStop Brake

I was cutting a small piece of wood and before I knew it the blade was below the table and I had a small cut on my thumb. Don't even know exactly how everything happened. While the piece was small, I'd made the same cut many times before. Anyway, just a nick, bit of blood and a ruined...

    Sharp chisels!

    Thread Starter: Jeff Bartley

Sharp chisels yes! But not at the end, on the sides. I'm just wondering how many here have been cut up by the edges of their chisels? And does anyone purposely dull the side edges to prevent this? Jeff (with a slice on his index finger!)

    Thread Starter: Ben Rivel

After studying the Oneida product page (LINK) and researching around the net I was able to figure out and put together the parts necessary to build my own Oneida Realtime Filter Efficiency Gauge. Its a very simple design and you can buy all the parts on your own for a lot cheaper than their kit. ...

Shaper wire brush head? Does such a thing exist?

    Thread Starter: Peter Quinn

I'm looking for a wire brush head for a shaper, either metal or abrasive nylon, for texturing open grain wood such as oak or ash. I use a brushing machine at work similar to a drum sander, but it won't do edges of wide boards, and it won't do curves. I know they have sanding heads.....anyone...

Shaper, how would you cut this

Shaper is reversible .. but I would rather do the top cut with a router if its stacked on top .. I dunno .. I have a buddy who's been running a shaper

Michael, I feel your pain. I remedied my sharpening by purchasing a second Veritas MKII jig for the job site. Works well for me.

35 or 55 gal dust bin? Steel or fiber?

+1 on the 30 gallon galvanized can. The 55 gallon would have been too tall, and really more weight than I want to manhandle when full. My bin sits on

This is only one of the reasons why I have a set of beater chisels. I would never loan one of my good chisels. Especially not to someone who needed to

    Planer Table extensions

My Grizzly has set screws that you use for adjustments. If you don't have that then soda cans will do. If your board is lifting up off the table then
