Is CBN simply worth the extra cost?

    Thread Starter: Matt Mackinnon

I knew from the start that getting into woodworking was going to be a very expensive hobby. And even more so when I took up turning. I recently bought a whole lathe setup with a wolverine jig and grinding wheel. The fellow who I bought it from had 2 oneway blue 8" grinding wheels in 54 and 120...

cyclone selection-- Onieda, Grizzly, or Penn State

    Thread Starter: Don Jeansonne

I have come the conclusion that I need to upgrade to a cyclone with 3hp min size. I am looking at Onieda V3000, Grizzly G0441, and Penn State 3.5hp. Thread Starter: Joe Shinall

thewoodwhisperer.com/videos/grizzly-track-saw-review/ Well, Marc did a rather good review of the Grizzly Track saw and I have to say I'm on the fence about it after this. The wobble and spring are my biggest problem. Any thoughts? DC doesn't bother me, I would use it outside anyways and...

    Old plane blade too hard?

    Thread Starter: Shaun Mahood

I've got an old wooden jointer plane with a blade that I have never been able to sharpen satisfactorily. I just bought a bench grinder and have given it another try. It seemed to take longer to grind than my other blades, and after that is taking much more time and effort to sharpen on my stones. I...
