I am a Connecticut mural artist. I don't do any woodworking of any kind, but I was recently surfing the web looking for giant french curves and stumbled onto a post to this website in which you inquired about them (and subsequently received replies about ships curves and other tools).
Did you ever acquire the large french curves you were looking for? I have a mural job coming up that would be much easier if I had some large curved tools to help me out: giant french curve, ships curves or blending curves. Ideally, I'd like to borrow them or rent them for a small fee -- the mural is actually for charity, so I am not making any $$ on it.
I noticed you are in CT and thought maybe you could help! Feel free to send me a message via this site or e-mail me directly at email@example.com.
Thanks for your time and attention!
We won't be making St.Pat's this year. One day though......
It's funny that a few of guys I work with have started to make an annual pilgramage to Savannah now for St. Pat's and one is actually retiring there in a few years.. I gotta go with them some day, since I got them started on it.
Today would be good. It was 4 Deg F. this morning.
Happy Birthday Mike! Weren't you and your wife planning a trip to Savannah for St. Pat's?
Iwas reading some threads about bandsaws and you were mentioned by Syd L. "It is Unreal what he (you) do with his rikon". It sounds like Syd took a ride down to your shop and you really gave him a great tour around the machine. Although the post is dated in 2004 I was wondering if the info is still valid. I was not able to find the threads by you about the Bandsaw so I decided to write you directly.
Thank you for taking time
PS I have been turning about a year but I am hooked. I need a bandsaw and I know the importance of buying it good the first time. I hope you can help.
