Biography:

I am an avid woodworker who likes to work metal as well, I live in California & do this for a living.
Whats up folks, thanks for having me on this great site. I spend a lot of time searching the net for topics i'm interested in. Over the coarse on the past 10 years I constantly find myself spending so much time here I finally decided to join. Imo this is one of the best woodworking sites.
My name is Mike, I have been a woodworker for 20 years since I was a teen. Grew up with little & had to make do with what I had. My father was a hobby woodworker & had a shop, uncles are contractors. Its in my blood, I started doing carpentry professionally when I was 21, started in a woodshop & 2 years later became an installer. Around 2006 I built my own detached 1200 sq ft shop out in the back, I outgrew our attached garage. The shop is & always will be a work in progress. My hope is to one day make a living in my shop by making furniture or restoring furniture, maybe build some cabinets, nothing too crazy. I dream of waking up, walking outback & working in my shop to pay the bills, no more driving. So in the mean time I'm setting up the ultimate semi pro workshop that has the potential to make me a large income sometime in the future.
