Biography:

I'm an incredibly enthusiastic collector of hand tools. As is common, Stanley planes were my gateway drug into the tool collection rabbit hole, and the shelves in my shop are stuffed with Millers Falls bit braces, Groves backsaws and Irwin auger bits. The scary part is that I'm still 3 years shy of 30, this obsession with tools doesn't seem to be slowing down, and I am pretty sure my cause of death will be 'crushed under an Ivy League tuitions worth of Norris infill planes'.

In addition to collecting tools, I also [try to] make them. I've built about 50 or so planes, marking knives, spokeshaves, and the like. Aside from a few planes with Hock irons, the tools I make also feature blades I've made myself.

Finally, I sometimes make furniture. I've had to grapple with this for a long time before coming to terms with it, but I've realized that furniture is the weakest part of my game and I get the least excited about it. The realization hit home one day when I realized that I spent about 8 hours in the shop on a chair I was building, and 80 on building tools to build the chair.
