I use both lard made from pigs and tallow made from everything else.

Hi Stephen. When I try using the contact button on your website, it gets bounced back, so I'll try a pm here. In the tallow thread that turned nasty, you mentioned that you use lard for tallow. Did you mean you use lard as the starting point for making tallow, or use lard as the final product for treating planes? I'm making my own hollows and rounds, so I'm thinking about how to finish and trat them. I'd really be interested in your thoughts on that.
