Bob, There is a way to make one from a HF roller, beader, as posted as the Reiser Circle Shear, but the instructions are not complete. The hardest part is figuring out how to make the clamp that can rotate when tight. My biggest problem is the lack of time to build one. I actually bought the Harbor Freight beader to do this with but don't have the time. Jonathan
Johnathan, I don't have one. But I have wondered if you could make a manual one out of a quality bead roller. Most new ones are sold with shearing dies. I think you could evenis a cheap one if you shortened the frame to limit flex. All you would have to do is devise a swing in adjustable pivot. Bob Haverstock
Thannks Daniel, I did call, but he said that Festool wa shaped too irregular and too large to work with their base. Festool themselves should be the ones to come out with the plunge base for the MFK700 as it is a modular system.
Jonathan: I apologize for the misinformation. That was a careless reading of the Microfence website. Having said that, it might still be worth giving Richard a call and see if there is some way to make the plunge base work with the Festool trimmer.
