Biography:

I am retired and thoroughly enjoying it. Now have the time to pursue my dream of having my own woodworking shop. I had all but signed the contract on the new building when the boss said she wanted to move. Now-a-days we spend most of our time looking at houses. But one of the criteria is that it has a good building to serve as my shop.
I currently turn on a Jet 1221VS. Its a good little lathe but has obvious limitations. as soon as I'm in my new shop, I'll be buying a larger lathe. I've had my eye on the G0766 and the G0733 for quite a while. But, am disappointed that they don't have swiveling head stocks. Neither does my little Jet, and it annoys me. But, if that is my biggest annoyance, life is good!
