About Asa Christiana
- Biography:
- I am the editor of Fine Woodworking magazine. A winding path led me to the magazine in 2000. I attended a technical high school, where I learned the machinist trade and became interested in building things. After college I took a number of teaching jobs, first teaching math in the Peace Corps and then English back in the United States. Later, I worked as an editor at two newspapers and then worked my way up through the ranks at Fine Woodworking to my current role as top editor. I live in rural Connecticut, with his wife and two daughters, in a house (and woodshop) I helped to design and build.
