  1. OK sir ... I'm in Eastern WA on the Idaho border. I don't turn anything but reel seats and pens so no large wood here.

    I believe I have some mesquite from when I lived in AZ and some spalted woods you will need to apply something to stabilize as you turn it (I use thin CA and/or a mixture of white glue and water).

    I don't know what the pin oak or elm looks like but the osage orange.

    I'm in Oklahoma, so I'm mainly looking for stuff that doesn't grow around here. I'm turning on a rikon midi, so I'm not looking for anything really large. Cherry, Box Elder, Apple, and Mesquite are non-existant around here. I've got some pin oak and elm on hand, and I've got access to quite a bit of cedar and osage orange. Anything interesting to you?
