I have been PM with Steve and I see you had the same problem. I have been field testing this lathe for Delta and talked to my contacts today.
I did get a call from Delta today and mentioned your headstock problem. They said there are some of the very first ones made that a nut was tightened too tight. They can tell you how to fix it over the phone. Just need a name and phone number, maybe a good time to call, and I will forward it on to them.
