    cool..where you find that
  3. Wow thats a lot of house to trim out. I think making what you need as you need it is the way to go. Lie Nelson makes blanks http://www.lie-nielsen.com/catalog.php?cat=548 there not cheap but if you made a few over time it wouldn't be to bad. I need to do some checking into what the best steel is to use. Actually I'll probably make a bow saw first but planes are on the list.

I live in the davenport gold coast. Its the original town for davenport. My house is about 7000 sq feet built in the 1870s. I have lots of molding I need to recreate both inside and out. I looked briefly at getting a odd set of rounds and hollows but, new, they are way out of my price range. I might end up making them.

Mark, Thanks for the link. The Stanly 45 looks awful useful for me, but somewhere in the back of my head, something is telling me my wife has plans for Nov 6th. I have no idea what it is though. I know she would enjoy a day in Des Monies, or at least lunch there. The Quad Cities doesn't have a clue what good food is. I wouldn't mind going over there again just to go to the Woodsmith store.
Thanks again for the link, and I will let you know if I am going to be able to make it.

Just noticed this message...wasn't ignoring you! The cam drawing was just the "inspiration" I needed to get going and it works great on the saw vise. If you need some ideas on saw handles, here are two links that might be useful:

The 1/4" grid helps to scale it.

Hope you scored at the estate sale.
