Hey Larry, Sorry about the late response. I stopped following that thread because, you said it brother, it took on life of its own to say the least. It was interesting though. Awful lot of feeling out there about hand tools. Anyway, to answer your question no. In my original post I mentioned that I returned the tool. I'm like that now. I'm 51 and I've been in carpentry and woodworking since Jimmy Carter was in office. My patience for defective products nowadays is nil. If it don't work it goes right back where it came from and I move on. If you rinterested in planes though fyi I looked at the Wood rivers just out of curiousity. I checked at the store they are real nice ecept for one thing, The soles are all bent. Banana shaped planes don't work very well. So its probably a set Veritas for.
I have read through the hundred or so emails concerning your experience witht he New Stanley Sweet Heart Plane. It is amazing the direction a thread will take and the life of its own. What I would like to know if you every got it sharpened and working well. And, if you were able to get in contact with Stanley concerning the problem. Larry Frank
