Biography:

I am 63 and started wood turning 5 yrs. ago. I was a self taught woodworker, but once I started turning I fell in love with it and rarely woodwork now. I have taught myself through books and dvds and magazines. I live on 20 acres of woods so I have lots of trees to practice on. I have a 16' dvr lathe and enjoy all aspects of turning, bowls, boxes, hollowforms, open forms, candle sticks, and am always trying somethings new, my favorite though is to make exotic boxes. i have recently tried doing some carving on my turnings, a couple of Nikos Siragas twisted stems goblets. I hope to continue making shavings for a long time.
