Biography:

Recently at age 35 I got into woodworking almost by accident. I refinished an old chair, enjoyed it, and my wife and I needed a coffee table. After some research we decided we liked the work of Nakashima. Luckily my father-in-law was an award-winning decoy carver and had also done plenty of woodworking, so I had a very capable teacher. I made my first table under his guidance (first on a practice piece, then on the real deal) and ever since I'm addicted. Within a year I've got a shop with practically everything I need. Not bad!
