That is beautiful. Love the color of the wood, the texture of the burned wood and the finish looks perfect.
I have to ask - when you "call" the squirrels, do you used those Remmington shells to finish them off?
I use a .22 or my Nikon....some folks use a shotgun in states that do not allow rifles for them (can be dangerous in higher populated areas)
Sometimes I use calls to get an animals to look up or come find me

Ken, another great pair!! And, I love the pic of the buck - he is going to make a nice one! Someday, I would like to get some high res pics from you for my desktop!
Thanks John...deer are my favorite subject.
Quiet woods, peaceful settings, nature in its purest form. A far cry from what I get paid to shoot haha! Nothing throws rocks at me, im usually not covered in 3 inches of dirt (ever seen a brown Nikon?) and for the most part the nature stuff doesn't run me over from time to time!

Nice work Ken, amazing how elegant those simple shapes are. I have flamed bamboo before but not wood. Gives me some ideas, thanks.
Nice call and great photos. The flamed osage reminds me a bit of cocobolo.
You sure are a good shutterbug Ken. Great calls too! :)
Great looking tree-rat calls, there!
Great Job!
Very nice work on the calls Ken! That flame sure brings out the grain and color!
