Bernie,
I admire your stick-to-itiv-ness. You surely have made a lot of little birdy houses. you will make a lot of people smile. That has to be a great feeling. These are very cute. Watch out the squirrels don't snatch them out of the Christmas tree.

You are a very dedicated individual...I'm bored after 2 pens! Like the texture up top...real acorn look to them!
Nice!
Bernie, are you using the wood collet chuck and bamboo skewers for the perch that Bob Hamilton demonstrates in one of his YouTube videos?
Bernie...those are beautiful! I too get bored after 2 pens. This is probably dumb question, but what do you use to get the checkering on the tops ?
Joe
Nice work Bernie. Look just like some acorns I saw in the road today. Can't do much better than that!
Bernie - you are a regular birdhouse factory! Nice work.
Nice work Bernie, looks like your going to spoil a lot of birds.:D
Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.
Mike I just use a regular chuck to turn these. Bamboo skewers or 3/16" dowels.
Joe Kieve I use a texture tool made by Sorby. Works great on small turnings. I set it at about a 60* or so angle one way and then turn it 60* or so the opposite way. I just eye ball the angle.
Those are lovely!
Great job on the texturing really looks good. Doug
Thanks again.
