Vermont American BS blades

i picked up a 1/8" vermont american blade today.

for the life of me i couldnt get the blade to track properly. if i spun the top wheel on the band saw by hand i could get the blade to spin in the center of the tires but as soon as i closed the doors and powered the band saw on the blade would walk off the front of the wheels. so i tried it again...ending in the same result.

this is my first 1/8" blade so i dont know if there is a trick to it. i put my old 1/4" blade back on and it worked fine.

am i doing some thing wrong? or perhaps there is a reason why i paid only $10 for the blade when other blades cost ~$25.
