Has anyone else ordered a lathe from Woodcraft.com? If so how long did it take to get it? I just got a email that it was on the truck. Still don't know which carrier is hauling it.

A few months ago, I bought a Rikon 70-100 from Woodcraft (on sale)...and it took about 3-4 days to receive it. Woodcraft sent me a tracking no., as I recall it was with UPS. The amazing thing to me is that they only charged $10 for shipping...about what they charge for something weighing 70-80 lbs less.
Oh, it'll probably be a couple months in transit ;):D
Now Bonnie thats not nice to say :D:D
Huh! me?!?!? :eek::p;)
You'll have it (putting on my witches hat)...... by Wednesday, latest ;)
Just talked to Woodcraft and they said it was on RTL trucking and they would call me 2 days before they deliver:D:D:D
I guess I can wait that long still don't have my AC installed:D
Don't feel bad Bobby, they're JEALOUS! :p
Hubby had a heat/ac pump put in my shop before I used my lathe ;)
Ride a ferry just to get to your house????? Now I know what's taking them so long to deliver. They are sending it trans-pacific, trans-atlantic, trans-gulf, via Bangkok!!!!!!!
Ok I talked to Woodcraft again when I ordered a new chuck. They have no ideal when my lathe will ship. All they know is the order was sent to Jet. According to the CSR I talked to. She said I would have to call Jet to find out when it would ship and it could be as long as 20 to 30 days before it ships.:eek:
Ok My question is who is Jet and how do I call them??
contact info can be found at http://www.jettools.com select woodworking tools and then contact us :D
My experience with woodcraft has been excellent. If it's from them directly, the stuff gets to me within two days or less, and I can track it. Of course their warehouse is in WV and from there to VA or SC, isn't very far. Also the ferry to my house leaves every two minutes. As for Jet, he's the fellow who got fired from Ryobi for making quality stuff. If you google you can get Jet's no. Good luck with your lathe, Hilel.
I need to come up and see you sometime.
