Teak and Eucalyptus
I would like to share one of my latest creations made from scraps of Teak and Eucalyptus.
Many of you know I do like making boxes. This ones I stray far from my usual design.
Woodturning sculpting and traditional handtool works. It’s just big enough to hold my incense cones in the drawer. It will live in my shop for me to enjoy.
Thanks for looking

It reminds me of Prince Valiant’s furniture of long ago. It was a serious comic strip ! It looks like it was made hundreds of years ago.
I think the inside of the top would blend in better with a darker color ,or covered with a piece of leather. It will be rubbed by many
hands, unless …you put a “DO NOT TOUCH” sign on it ! Interesting piece.

Interesting design. The curved boards in the lid are interesting. I don't think I have ever seen that done before.

That's really beautiful! Great use of that material for sure.

It looks like I’m not going to get anymore comments so thanks guys I appreciate it.
I promise my next piece will be more pedestrian and relatable :)
Good Luck

How I managed to miss this project, is beyond me. I really like and appreciate the wave pattern you managed to create in the top and the way you matched the grain in the front top rail and the drawer. Nicely done, Sir!
