This is for checking the cutterhead in relation to the outfeed bed on my Delta X5 6" jointer. I'm trying to find a feeler gauge that measures .060 inches. Tried the local auto parts stores, and online - closest I could find was .054".
Any help would be appreciated.

This is how I've always done it and seen it done with feeler gauges. You have a set, and if you need a size not in it, you just add 'em up. My spark plugs on my trucks are 0.042", so I use 0.020" and 0.022" feelers together to check them (I know you're supposed to use the wire ones...but it's close enough).Quote:
