Finished off the first of 4 twice turned cherry vases that I got out of a nice straight 10" log over a year ago. This is the smallest of the bunch at 10.5" with a 7" wide opening and 10" deep. These were some of the first pieces of wet wood I did back when I first got my hollowing rig so I was looking more for something nice and easy to do more than some fancy form. Used a vortex tool for a couple indents on the rim and base and then burned them. Didn't want to do much other embellishment to it because I liked the grain on this piece but it didn't really pop all that much with the walnut oil. Next ones will get different treatments. Buffed and waxed today. First piece I've done with the pith intact.
