Careful, you are on thin ice.
I have a saw vice like that. What ever you do, do not check out Lee Valley's wallet filled with their files and for goodness sakes,
don't look at their file holder. If you do that, you will have all of your saw maintenance stuff in one spot.
I did all that and have 15 sharp hand saws. I also have saws that were broken off and now are short, sharp saws that do specific tasks.
Actually, do all that, it's a fun trip.
I did not catch the spelling error, but Patrick did.
I wasn't going to say it, but I caught the error, and then thought, "it could go either way!" I have both- a saw vise and a saw vice. I finally broke down and bought a proper saw vise, and it really upped my game- not just my sharpening, but my sawing. It made sharpening simple and therefore less likely to be put off when needed.
I made a wooden saw vise that I use instead. Google "saw Vise" for ideas.

Saw Stop...works!
You guys need to stop playing around with the kiddy toys and step up to a real vise....

I have metal saw vices that I never use, I prefer my home made vice.
I did not catch the spelling, but Steve did.
It. Is definitely a vice
It is my third one and saws I quit counting a long time ago
But the thing I really want to know is how to clean the saw up save the etch
I only bought the saw because it was straight and looked like a full plate
You might have to. Since 1991, that is the first and only one I've seen. :)
