Jim, very nice work, what software do you use to do your 3d and textures, also what brand of CNC do you use?
Paul
Jim,
Its a beauty!!
Nice job creating the rustic textures and the level of detail is impressive. Some job details would be nice.
.
The background stone texture was made with a grayscale bitmap I created in photoshop. Enroute Pro 5 was used to do all of the extruding, and texturing. The carving itself was done on a 5x10 multicam cnc router with 8 tool changer. we used a 1/2" ball end for roughing then a finish pass with the 1/8" tapered head ball end.
Finishing is a combo of custom made glazes and Modern masters metallic paints.
Jim, sounds like we have similar setup, I know Enroute Pro is expensive but it sure is amazing at what it can do, been using it since version 2.3. I peeked at your website, very nice work, looks like you guys are having fun at what you do, looking forward to seeing more.
Paul, we have a blast… I need to get that site updated. None of the really cool stuff has made its way there yet. Enroute has come a long way for sure!
That's a great sign. How long does something like that take on a CNC router?
That one took about 5 hours for the carving.
