Finally A wood Gloat
Managed to get all of this the other day "Apple" not sure of what kind though, but the wood seems to be good and stable so far there is no checking that has started,
Apparently the tree was blown over in a wind storm this past October / November and was totally uprooted, so the tree contained the least amount of moisture at the time of it's demise. I've managed to get it all sealed but now need to find a place to store it.
The wine bottle is there just for size comparison, included with this stash of wood are half a dozen or so very nice crotch pieces.

That ought to keep you busy for a bit, John.....love apple, it has nice grain and color in it most of the time, and smells good while you are turning it. Pretty nice haul!

That looks very nice. I hope that you get a lot of good stuff out of it.

I hope you are a fast turner as in it's present form it could crack and split in to unusable firewood.Sorry just my experience with apple.
