Greenland paddles - looking for wood to build some

I'm looking for a source of clear cedar or lighter weight wood to build some Greenland paddles for my Dad's birthday.

James, where are you located? there are several places here in this area (Lakewood WA) 30 miles south of Seattle that would have what you are looking for.
