Jim that looks like a very practical ready to work bow saw. I am wondering how to make a hole in the band saw blade, is it to hard to drill? Do you think your friend will have any problems with the plywood frame? Seems like it should be strong. Just now thinking don't bow saw blades turn?
Yes he used 3/4" plywood double stacked to 1 1/2" thick. Should be plenty strong. He used my Whitney punch to make 1/4" holes in the band saw blade. It would be very hard to drill a hole in that hardened steel. Whitney punch is a sheet metal workers tool.
