No problem w/EZ Tool Rest post height on my 12in Rikon( 050-70), the post length is 4 1/2 in. It's a different story w/PSI's Round Bar rests.

On the topic of glue blocks, what type of glue is recommended for securing the glue block to the blank ? CA, hot glue or ??

When turning a piece is it detramental to the lathe electronics(lathe with EVS) to stop(numerous times during the turning of a piece to check progress) the lathe rpm's with the EVS control dial...

In my previous post I'm referring to EVS( Electronic Variable Speed )as VSC(Variable Speed Control)...sorry for any confusion.
