I probably could sand it, but the wood was Hard Maple that was stained that color.

I finally refinished and engraved my shotgun stock.
It didn't turn out as dark as I would of liked, but I am happy with it.

Its an old pump Westernfield, a Montgomery Wards gun.
Iwould like it to look as close to walnut as I can. I am also going to do some engraving on it as well.

Thats what I used to do before getting layed off from work and we did G-Code programming.

Hey Tom,

Are you using Corel Draw X5 by chance?
If so go to Epilogs site and they will tell you what you need to do to fix that problem. Its a setting in Corel.
